Part-time for four
evenings and one assessment drive
Entry Requirements
Full driving licence.
You must provide your own car and insurance
etc. for assessment.
In some circumstances, participants
not currently in possession of a full
current driving licence may be permitted
to attend. This will be at the tutor's
discretion.
Course Content
Your programme
will cover the following topics:
Attitudes
Current skills assessment
Risks to business and employer
Advanced theory, cornering, observations
and positioning
Mechanical theory
Current trends in legislation,
tiredness, mobile phones, effects
of alcohol and drugs
Road craft principles in practice
(assessed)
Learning Styles
The course will
consist of lectures, discussion, practical
demonstrations and driving assessment.
Assessment
Current skills will be
assessed with a one and a half hour assessment
drive.
Future
Successful completion
of this course will entitle students to progress
to the level 2 course.
